Notice & takedown

OldReel is a catalogue of classic films. We host no video files ourselves. Every title is embedded from a third-party service — the Internet Archive, Wikimedia Commons or YouTube — and plays in your browser straight from that source.

Report content

If you believe a film listed here infringes your copyright or is otherwise unlawful, e-mail abuse@coom.im with:

• the exact OldReel URL of the page concerned;
• a description of the work and the rights you hold;
• your contact details and a statement that the information is accurate.

We review valid notices and remove or disable the link promptly. Because we do not host the media, the fastest complete removal usually happens at the source (Internet Archive, Wikimedia Commons or YouTube) — we will remove our link at the same time.

What we list

We only list material that is in the public domain or offered under a free/open licence (such as Creative Commons). Content shown via YouTube is limited to Creative Commons videos, with attribution to the channel; Wikimedia Commons material is shown with a link to its file page.

This page is provided as a good-faith notice-and-takedown procedure and is not legal advice.
